My Books - The You Are What You Are Cookbook

You are what you are cookbook Is a collection of celebrity recipes from everyone you've ever heard of from Tony Blair to Bruce Forsyth, Dame Judy Dench to John Travolta. From Number 10's kitchen comes a timesaving, all-in-one cake recipe, Paul Daniel's offers a 'magic' jelly and Joan Collins a recipe for Pasta Primavera. Jasper Carrot has offered a "Carrot Curry" and Victoria Wood's a Victoria sponge. Robert Powell makes a Vitality Cocktail, while Sir Cliff Richard's Transkei Mud Pudding involves cream, condensed milk, biscuits and chocolate. We are talking big names here - Esther Rantzen, Michael Winner, , Ronnie Barker, Sir Michael Caine, John Cleese, Glenda Jackson, Bernard Cribbens, Alan Titchmarsh, the list goes on and on.. Desmond M Tutu, Chris Tarrant, Emma Thompson, Victoria Wood, Terry Wogan, Ann Widdecombe, Julie Walters, Richard Wilson .. and..ME!

Yes really! (Spot the token unknown!)
I am very honoured to have been asked to take part and have contributed my special secret recipe for Fish Soup (secret - drink lots of wine while you're making it).

The idea for the recipe book came from Beds Garden Carers, learning disabled fundraiser Tim Branson. Tim, who has won a national award for his work, wrote to hundreds of celebrities in the UK last year. In total 69 celebrities replied with some of their favourite recipes. Tim's willingness to write to everyone, including George Lucas, with the words "America" written underneath (it reached him and he replied) and even the Pope, (although he was unable to send a recipe he did send his blessings), means this book is a unique collection of celebrities favourite recipes.

The perfect present for anyone who likes to cook or name-drop.
